Cros River State Government has said it has concluded all arrangements to treat the world to the best carnival in the history of the state. The state Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang told journalists at a joint press conference in Calabar, which included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Carnival Commission, Austin Cobham, and the Special Adviser, Events Management, Effiong Ekpenyong, that this year’s carnival had been planned to beat past editions, explaining that the state governor was passionate about the success of this year’s carnival.
He said: “The state Governor, Bassey Edet Out, is putting in everything to make this year’s carnival a huge success and because of this, all the routes earmarked for the event have been given a facelift. All roundabouts have been decorated with Christmas lighting to give the city the look of the Yuletide festivities.”
