Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, known for his hit song “Declan Rice,” has stunned fans by revealing the astronomical fee charged by Grammy-winning singer Tems for a feature. Responding to a fan’s inquiry about Tems’ involvement in the deluxe edition of his album “Eziokwu,” Odumodublvck disclosed that Tems demands a staggering $500,000 per verse, equivalent to approximately ₦402,470,000.00.

The fan, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @shey_drogo, had expressed their hope for Tems’ inclusion on the deluxe edition. Odumodublvck’s response, “1 verse from Tems na 500k USD,” quickly sparked a buzz among fans, with many expressing disbelief at the hefty price tag.
To emphasize the magnitude of Tems’ fee, Odumodublvck added, “Even Hushpuppi leg go first shake before e tremble,” referring to the notorious Nigerian fraudster Hushpuppi, known for his extravagant lifestyle.
Tems’ skyrocketing feature fee reflects her soaring global recognition and demand as one of the most sought-after artists in the music industry. Her Grammy Award win and collaborations with international superstars have solidified her position at the forefront of the music scene.
While the revelation may have surprised some fans, it also serves as a reminder of the growing influence and value of African music on the global stage. African artists are increasingly commanding higher fees for their work, and Tems’ exorbitant demand is a clear indication of this shift in power.
