There are powers that specialise in re-writing the destinies of men. Col 2:14 tells us that Jesus came purposely to cancel every of such evil handwriting and decrees that were written against us. He has set it complete out of our way by nailing it to the cross, so that, we will be able to fulfill our destinies.

These same powers can manipulate any man to begin to act contrary to God’s predestinated pattern and then, they raised accusers to lay charges against him. This was the case with the woman caught in adultery in Jn 8:6-11. The accusers brought her before Jesus to tempt him too, even though they understood the whole concept and circumstance of the event. Jesus, knowing what they were driving at, ignored them and simply stooped down to write on the floor. He might have been writing a new script for the woman contrary to what the enemies have written for her. Whatever the enemies have for you will be wiped off, today, and God will write a new one for you in Jesus’ name.

By the time Jesus was done, all the accusers were no more and the woman was set free. Those waiting for you to make mistakes in life, so that, they can accuse you, will wait in vain. These evil scriptwriters are demonic personalities or principalities that inscribe, engrave or re-write the destinies of men in the spirit realm. When they re-write the script of a man’s life, such a person will begin to live a photocopied life. He will become a shadow of his original self. There are certain facts we need to understand about spiritual writings.

First of them is that God is the original writer of man’s destinies, as we see it in Mtt 26:24. Also in Rom 8:29-30, we can see that there is a predetermined way God has prepared for every man to follow. The second fact is that God can re-write destinies and family histories as we see in the case of Abraham in Gen 12:1-2. He was from an idol worshipping family until God called him out and gave him a new pattern to follow. This brought Abraham to the seat of greatness.

Thirdly, every man’s destiny is written in a book with God as the author, Psa 40:7. Every good author knows how the story will end and so works out the story line to fit into it. Whatever you are going through right now will fit into God’s perfect plan for your life. Your ugly situations, today, will end in praise.

Another fact about spiritual writings is that there are times when God is directly involved in writing. One of such is the writing of the commandments with his finger (Ex 31:18).

A second one is in the writing of the scroll, which he commanded Ezekiel to eat. This is the word of God (Ezk 3:1-3).

Again, we see God writing on the wall in Babylon and Jesus writing on the floor. Isa 49:16 says: “God engraved us in the palm of his hand to tell us that he never forgets us.”

Lastly, the devil is the head of the faceless beings behind the re-writing of men’s destiny and there are different agents he uses to accomplish his evil scriptwriting. I decree your name be cleared from any evil script in Jesus’ name.
