Popular On Air radio personality at Wazobia FM, Lagos, Emadomi Wilson Eguakhide, popularly known as Ratata, has opened a unique art studio named Colours of Ratata located on NTA 2 Channel 5 premises, Ahmadu Bello Way, Lagos.

Speaking during his first solo show at the facility, Eguakhide said, “drawing is a passion I have sustained from childhood to interpret the everyday life of Nigerians.”

He noted that his drawings are directed to the activities at the grassroots level in the country.

The radio personality also stated that his drawings are passionate to him, because they help people to be conscious and connect well.

“The launching of my studio and solo show is to create awareness for my work, which has lots of messages and the realities of everyday life of an average Nigerian on display. As a radio personality, I needed to also extend my interest to my childhood passion, which is drawing. The art studio is open from Monday to Saturday for people to come and view creative work of art and also purchase any of the work, which is affordable,” he said.

Rev Dr Fidelis Oyemoba, who declared the Colours of Ratata Art Studio open, commended Eguakhide for using his drawings to pass messages that are filled with love and soul lifting.

The Chief Medical Director of NTA 2 channel 5, Lagos, Dr Martina Agberien, also said the story behind the outstanding drawings displayed by the Wazobia FM OAP is a clear expression of his love for humanity and connection with the grassroots.

Work on display at the show include, Balogun Market, Mile 2 Market, Oshodi series, Keke Marwa activities in Lagos, the way people live their lives at Makoko area of Lagos and messages on healthy living.
