The Anambra State Police Command has arrested Jeff Nweke, the Managing Director of Blue Shield Securities, a private security company in Awka.

The arrest follows allegations of serious offences, including sponsoring a nude protest against the police and terrorism.

The Commissioner of Police for Anambra State, Aderemi Adeoye, confirmed the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Monday.

Adeoye said that the suspect had been charged in three separate courts but had repeatedly evaded appearing for trial.

The police commissioner also alleged that Nweke orchestrated a nude protest against the police in Awka in an attempt to escape criminal prosecution.

Adeoye stated that Nweke is also accused of illegally possessing firearms, engaging in land-grabbing activities, shooting at police operatives, and being involved in terrorist activities.
