The National President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Francis Wale Oke, has called on the Federal Government to prioritise education and invest in the youths to curb brain drain.
Oke, who is the Chancellor, Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), Ibadan, made the call while addressing journalists on the sideline of the second convocation ceremony of the institution.
He said by investing in the youths, government is creating job opportunities and an enabling environment for them to thrive.
Oke said: “President Tinubu should make it a priority, not just to include youths in his cabinet, but invest in their education at every level. By doing so, you are equipping them for the future of work.
“Our youths are leaving the country in droves, if government can create an enabling environment for them, they will stay to contribute to the development of the country.”
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Julius Oloke, enjoined the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the school and make good use of the trainings received.
He said: “I, therefore, charge you to go and bear good fruits. Deploy the good ideas you have for the development of yourself and the society. Be good ambassadors of this great citadel of learning, let it be seen that you have been nurtured for excellence in the fear of God.”
