With a few days before the world kiss year 2023 goodbye, 9izzy, artiste and songwriter, 9izzy, has released his first single for the year, ‘Sexy Mama’.

The new single finds him linking up with former Davido Worldwide Music (DMW) signed artiste, Peruzzi. The song, ‘Sexy Mama’ is a mix of a myriad of sounds.

At just two minutes, forty nine seconds long, Peruzzi and 9izzy both sing about their admiration for a girl with the Amapiano log drum punctuating the song.

According to the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede graduate, ‘Sexy Mama’, was inspired by a personal experience.
“The lyrics and melody came to me during a moment of reflection, and I felt it was a story that needed to be shared through music,” he said.

The chorus ‘Sexy Mama, gets repeated throughout the song with 9izzy leading the song with his opening six lines. The song get shored up when Peruzzi comes up, he takes the song to another level, buttressing what 9izzy’s sings about.

Peruzzi might be all over the girl, he is also quick to seek for consent before he makes a move, no wonder he said “shey I fit call you my dynamite, special feeling you blow my mind.”

9izzy and Peruzzi seems like a match made from heaven, they both complement one another on this song. They are so in tune that whenever 9izzy vocals fall short, Peruzzi swiftly comes to his rescue with his honeyed and well oiled vocals.

‘Sexy Mama’ is expected to serve as the lead single to a yet to be named extended play slated for release in 2024. The EP is a collection of songs that explore various themes and emotions. It’s a mix of different genres and styles, and each track has its own unique story to tell, it’s a reflection of 9izzy’s journey and experiences.
