Husband saved from kidnappers

My name is Sister Gloria Obiorah. I worship at Kogi State headquarters, Lokoja. I became a member of the Lord’s Chosen in 2009. I appreciate God for making me a member of this ministry.

I am grateful to God for saving my husband from the hands of kidnappers in November last year. On that fateful evening, my husband returning home from his shop and was about to drive into our compound when three men accosted him at a gunpoint. One of them hit him and he fell, but in that confused state he shouted he is a Chosen three times and called upon the God of Chosen to deliver him. At this juncture, one of the kidnappers was about to shoot him, when they suddenly saw a man in a white suit come towards them and they took to their heels. When their driver who was at a standby behind the wheel saw his colleagues running, he started the car and sped off, leaving his colleagues. That was how my husband was saved from those kidnappers. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!

To appreciate God for what He has done, my husband, on the day he was giving his testimony at Lokoja, promised to install a borehole facility for the church. As he fulfilled his promise, God opened a book of remembrance for him and blessed him with two trailers. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!!!

When we joined this ministry in 2009/2010, there was a programme organised here titled: “That Yoke Must Break,” after listening to the salvation message on that day, I got home and told my husband we should stop selling alcohol, cosmetics, attachments, weave-on, among others and he agreed. We began to deal on provisions and beverages only and through this, God blessed us and we promised to sow in God’s Vineyard.

In 2013, we bought a bus for one of our autonomous churches and also built a fellowship centre for one of our branches in Kogi. In our village, we also built a fellowship centre, and God swung into action and began to bless us with vehicles, trucks, shops, among others. In fact, the God of Chosen is very great!

In 2009, I lost my first daughter and a week after that, my son took ill. We spent weeks in the hospital, but he got no better. We also visited different churches, yet the situation did not improve until my younger brother who was already a member of the Lord’s Chosen brought us to a Lord’s Chosen programme in one of their branches in the eastern part of Nigeria. After the visit, the afflictions confronting my son varnished and he became normal again. That was how we became members of the Lord’s Chosen till date. Truly, we are not regretting it. May the name of the Lord be glorified forever in Jesus’ name… I pray for the G.O and all the Lord’s Chosen members across the world.
