Rev Fr. Dr. Andrew Obinyan has been called upon to join the Edo governorship race and contribute his quota to the development of the state, based on his antecedents in the vineyard of God as a man with an unblemished record and fear of God.

They appealed for the 55th Birthday celebration of Fr. Obinyan, the parish priest of Saint Francis Catholic Church, Benin City, Edo state

The catholic youths who described the humane Priest as humble, selfless, and a dedicated individual worthy of emulation said Edo state needs him at this critical time to contribute to governance to tackle the infrastructural deficit in the state.

Appealing to him to declare for the Edo 2024 Governorship race and take the state to higher heights, the youths in their hundreds said their role model and mentor to the of youth population seeking good governance for Edo State.

According to them, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Andrew Obinyan is a community builder, always ready to assist those in need, a humble and selfless man worthy of emulation one who Edo State needs to continue its development.

In a worship mood Fr. Obinyan offered thanks to God in celebration of his 55th birthday with Church members, friends and well-wishers.

In a short exhortation, Fr. Obinyan admonished all, especially the youths to serve God diligently so as to receive his divine upliftment.

The celebration was attended by eminent personalities including members of St. Monica, St. Patrick, Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students, Dynamic Sisters of Assemblies of God and other groups.

The Celebrant, Fr. Andrew Obinyan said he is elated and humbled by the show of love from the youths, men and women of nobility and thanked God, for his many blessings in his life journey.

Highpoint of the occasion was a passionate plea by the friends, including the young and old, for the celebrant Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Andrew Obinyan to declare his intentions for the governorship race in Edo State.
