Varsity Matriculates 2,153 Undergraduates, 198 Post- graduates


Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State has announced the matriculation of 2,153 undergraduates and 198 post-graduate students in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony held recently at the university campus, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Biodun Adebayo  disclosed that  the undergraduates and post-graduate students were successfully screened for the academic year.

He thanked God for validating the vision of the founding fathers of the institution with many infallible proofs. He said: “We are not only the most preferred university for candidates seeking quality higher education in  Africa, but our graduates are also adjudged employable among all Nigerian universities.”

He noted that in its latest ranking as ‘’Number One in Nigeria in the 2024 World University Rankings” spoke volumes.

The Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Regents of the university, Dr. David Oyedepo admonished parents and guardians to ensure that their sons and daughters align with the varsity’s training mode so that they could be listed among the new generation of leaders that Covenant University has been producing to date.

Oyedepo, who is also the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Ota, urged the matriculating students to “ choose to align” and prayed that none of them would be shown the way out unceremoniously before the completion of their studies.

He said: “We are  poised to  raising a new generation of leaders through a broad-based quality education built on sound Biblical principles culminating in the birth of pathfinders, pacesetters and trail blazers.”

Pro-Chancellor, Bishop David Abioye, enjoined them to maximise their academic pursuit by adhering to the  core values of the institution.

He said: “The core values include training each student to be self-efficient and self-sufficient upon graduation, which include spirituality, integrity, possibility, capacity-building, responsibility, diligence and sacrifice, among others.
