The House of Representatives member for Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency, Moshood Oshun, on Friday, distributed food packs to 5000 residents in his constituency.

The beneficiaries were vulnerable households in Lagos mainland drawn from community development associations, artisans and schools.

Each of the food packs that beneficiaries got were rice, garri, spaghetti, noodles, sugar and salt.

Although Oshun was not around during the distribution of the items, his staff and supporters were on ground to distribute the food pack to beneficiaries.

A former House of Representative member, Jide Jimoh, who flagged off the distribution of the food pack, commended Oshun for remembering and supporting members of his constituency.

“For him to have thought of assisting members of the different communities with the food items, which are essential, we should give kudos, thank and appreciate him because it is not easy to feed people. It is not easy to help the poor. Many members of the community, no matter where they belong politically are going to benefit.”

He, therefore, implored members of the constituency to pay Oshun back in good deeds.

Twelve food packs were handed over to the members of Queens College community in Yaba. Mrs. Abiola Jacobs, who picked the items on behalf of the community, thanked the lawmaker for always remembering and supporting Queen Colleg, Yaba over the years.

“The lawmaker has always been a very good persons to the Queens College community. He always assists the school and sometimes visits. Recently, one of his personal assistants came to inform the school that we are beneficiaries of the distribution of food pack by the lawmaker.

“I feel very happy about it and on behalf of the Queens College community, we say a big thank you to our House of Representatives member, Moshood Oshun for the love to the school and that the good Lord bless him abundantly.”

Another beneficiary, Gloria Udoh, prayed that God would enrich the lawmaker because the gift items would help to meet some basic needs in her family especially because of the high cost of foot items.
