Eternal Youth Fellowship of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim has decried the rising school fees and lack of job for the teeming Nigerian youths.

The embittered youths said that the current situation of the nation has subjected young Nigerians to a precarious condition that is making it difficult for them to realise their potential.

The group disclosed this at a press conference held in Lagos ahead of its 20th anniversary with the theme; “Ebenezer.”

Calling on both the federal and state governments to address the important issues that affect the youths, the President of the Fellowship, Olumide Ajayi, lamented that education, labour and health sectors are still going through challenges and urged governments at all levels to focus on domestic policies, including security.

Speaking on the anniversary, which will run for one year — January 24, 2024 to December 24, 2024 — Ajayi commended the youths for establishing the fellowship to the glory of God.

His words: “We have moved from having few graduates to numerous graduates and a lot of development within the fellowship. We have seen different challenges, ups and downs, but we never ‘give up’. It is this go-getting attitude, our faith in each other and our commitment towards the fellowship that have brought us to where we are and the journey is not yet over because there is still much to accomplish.

“We will be glad to see our teens and youths achieve personal development goals, enhance their communication skills, participate in governance, gain work experience, acquire new skills, learn responsibility and accountability, develop a greater sense of condense and become empowered. But we would never have been able to picture this successful journey without everyone,” Ajayi stressed.
