Mariah Carey’s timeless holiday hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for a remarkable 13th week.

This achievement marks its unprecedented fifth holiday season atop the chart.

Originally released in 1994 on Carey’s album “Merry Christmas,” the song’s popularity has surged in recent years, breaking into the Hot 100’s top 10 in December 2017 and reaching the top five in the 2018 holiday season.

The track has consistently dominated the holiday season charts, leading for three weeks in 2019, two in 2020, three in 2021, and four in 2022.

Carey expressed gratitude for the song’s enduring appeal, stating, “When I wrote [it], I had absolutely no idea the impact the song would eventually have worldwide.”

The resurgence of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” comes after Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” spent the last two weeks at No. 1.

Other holiday classics are making their mark as well, with The Ronettes’ “Sleigh Ride” climbing to No. 8 and Dean Martin’s “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!” reaching No. 10 on the Hot 100.

Carey’s iconic holiday anthem continues to thrive across various metrics, including streaming (42.2 million streams), radio airplay (26.1 million impressions), and downloads (8,000) during the tracking week of Dec. 8-14.

As “All I Want for Christmas Is You” tops the Hot 100 once again, Mariah Carey solidifies her record-extending 92nd week at No. 1, making her the artist with the most weeks at the chart’s summit.

This achievement also places Carey in the unique position of having a song top the Hot 100 in four distinct decades, starting with her debut hit, “Vision of Love,” in August 1990.

As the holiday season unfolds, Mariah Carey’s festive anthem continues to captivate audiences, reaffirming its status as a timeless classic that transcends generations.
