Eshilokun celebrates with elderly citizens in Lagos Central

The Senator representing the Lagos Central Senatorial District, Wasiu Eshilokun, has celebrated with the elderly citizens of his constituency, through a programme, tagged, “2023 Elderly Citizens Assistance Scheme (ECAS)” held, at the weekend, across all the local councils and LCDAs within the district.

The programme, which was conceived to appreciate and celebrate the elderly, especially during the yuletide period, is one of the programmes inherited from his predecessor, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. It is the 12th in the series, but the first to be organised by Eshilokun, who had promised to continue the legacy of excellence he inherited from Nigeria’s First Lady.

Meanwhile, Eshinlokun, who physically attended the events organised by the two Lagos Island Councils, at Adeniji Adele and Broad Street, where he was given a rousing welcome by his people, assured the elderly that he holds them in high esteem and would like them to see him as a “trusted ally and friend.”

He appealed to them to always open their doors by offering him their candid advice anytime he knocks to “tap from their wealth of wisdom.”

Besides, he admonished them to always take care of their health, wishing them longevity and good health.

Eshilokun made presentation of N10,000 and an Ankara fabric to each beneficiary for the yuletide.

He, however, requestedfor prayers for the success of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President; as well as Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for starting the programme 12 years ago.
