.NAOWA distributes palliative to soldiers’ wives

Pro-Tinubu group, Asiwaju For All (AFA), yesterday doled out 22,200 bags of rice to indigent Nigerians across the country.

Speaking at the flag-off in Abuja, AFA’s National Coordinator, Aminu Jaji, explained that the gesture was in line with the resolve by the President Bola Tinubu to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians.

The House of Representatives member representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji federal constituency of Zamfara State assured that Tinubu would surely live up to his campaign promises of repositioning Nigeria to achieve sustainable growth.

Represented by Mansur Khalifa, the lawmaker explained that beneficiaries of the palliatives cut across religious and political leanings in the country.

He said: “This palliative is targeting our teeming populace; those at the grassroots, so that they will have a sense of belonging and be carried along in enjoying the dividends of democracy.”

“We are telling our people that this government belongs to them. This government is aware of their contribution and wants to appreciate their contribution to the emergence of Tinubu as President of Nigeria.”

In a passionate show of love and care for the families and spouses of fallen heroes, the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) 3 Division, chaired by Mrs Fibishola Abubakar, has concluded its end-of-year charity outreach, bringing relief to over 350 spouses of Nigerian Army fallen heroes in Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos, Plateau State.

Addressing the beneficiaries at the weekend, Mrs Abubakar, who also donated cows to the women to celebrate the Yuletide, expressed gratitude to the President of NAOWA, Mrs Mariya Lagbaja, acknowledging her as a passionate advocate for the welfare of officers’ families.

Mrs Sofuruchukwu Dinah, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, appreciated the kind gesture, noting that the act of generosity by NAOWA served as an encouragement to spouses of fallen heroes and families of troops.
