From a cozy garden area at CCX, Lagos, to an arena beaming with a crowd of excited people, it was a thrilling experience, last Friday, at the YP Live end-of-year concert held in Lagos.

While the Apex Village label executive and award-winning rapper Psycho YP dazzled the audience with laudable back-to-back performances of his discography using a live band, fans were agog in excitement as they sang back at some of their other favourites including Vector, Zlatan, Laime, Uloko, Kemuel, Chimzy, among others who belted out their notable tunes.

Other fun surprises at the show included a special guest appearance of London-based Afro-swing collective NSG, alongside Nigerian-british rapper Tion Wayne; as well as special merch pop-ups with Cruise Gang, and free tattoos with Inked byshallz.

The highlight of the experience was the avant-garde sonic experience dished out by Psycho YP, in conjunction with The Basement Gig live band, as it purveys a unique showcase of Hip-hop music and the myriad possibilities of fusions.
