Armed with a degree in computer science, Jide shared in a recent press engagement that he ventured into the world of sustainable farming to make impact, founding Flip Farm Resort. The venture, rooted in passion, not only stands as a testament to his commitment but also positions him as one of Nigeria’s most successful farmland sellers.

With a track record of resourcefulness and expertise, particularly in fish farming and land sales, he has steered the helm of business to new heights. The spectrum of activities under his guidance has expanded from catfish farming to the cultivation of cassava and maize. Beyond livestock rearing and crop cultivation, the venture now offers agricultural consultations, farmland sales, and advocacy for youth engagement in farming.

Akinseye stated that his expertise encompasses a range of agricultural practices, including crop rotation, soil management, pest control, irrigation, and advanced harvesting methods. Regular participation in agricultural workshops keeps him abreast of the latest industry practices, showcasing his commitment to continuous improvement.

He went further stating “I am using this opportunity to encourage fellow Nigerian youths, and also reassure them of the government’s renewed commitments towards attaining food security in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda to develop the agricultural sector towards the attainment of the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially those of zero hunger and to improve agriculture and rural productivity.”

Beyond his agricultural pursuits, Akinseye is an active member of The Ikeja Club Lagos, extending mentorship to young entrepreneurs. His involvement in ABEOCCIMA (Ogun state chapter of the Chambers of Commerce and Mining) underscores his commitment to community welfare. Volunteering as a speaker at agricultural events and collaborating with local schools, he strives to impart knowledge about sustainable farming practices and support for local agriculture.

Looking ahead, the business guru envisions expanding his farming enterprise with sustainable livestock practices and alternative energy sources like solar power. A farm-to-table initiative is on the horizon, connecting directly with consumers and promoting locally produced, nutritious food. Plans also include expanding the land sales business, creating an agricultural resort settlement, and developing digital marketing strategies to connect with a broader audience.

Akinseye’s openness to meaningful partnerships signifies a bright future for Flip Farm Resort and the sustainable agricultural landscape in Nigeria.
