Can you tell us more about yourself and passion for fashion designing?
I am not a graduate yet, just an SSCE Holder. I love fashion ever since I was a teenager. My parents had to take me where I learnt how to sew. I also learnt more about fashion in ibadan, then proceeded to Lagos in 2017. I gained more knowledge about fashion and kicked off.
How long have you been into fashion designing?
Well, officially I have been in the fashion industry for 10 years now.
What inspired your brand name Neyo Stitches?
I got the name Neyo Stitches from my surname which is Adeniyi. Some people fondly call me Niyi or Neyo. I also love popular foreign music artist, Neyo. I just added the Stitches which describes what I really love doing and you know a good stitch is what defines our work. That is how I got the brand name Neyo Stitches.
Who are your target clients?
I don’t define my core target, anyone who wants good stitches and want to look good are all welcomed at Neyo Stitches.
How affordable are your wears?
While my tailored wears may reflect the dedication to quality and precision, I strive to offer competitive and fair pricing. The value lies in the unique, customized experience and the high-quality materials used to craft each piece.
Can you mention some of your celebrity clients?
I haven’t gotten any celebrity client yet, but I regard all my clients as Neyo Stitches celebrities.
Can you mention two celebrities you would love to style? And why?
I would love to style Peter and Paul Okoye (P-Square) and then Daniel Anidugbe (Kizz Daniel). The reason I mentioned these celebrities is because I’ve been watching them as a fashion designer. They are fashionable and when I have the opportunity to style them, I would be showcasing my craftsmanship to the world.
What are the challenges you face as Nigerian entrepreneur?
Infrastructure issues such as inconsistent power supply, poor road networks, and limited access to reliable utilities, all these hinder our production and sometimes delay our business operations.
What are your future plans for your brand?
Creating a future-ready brand as as a fashion designer combining traditional craftsmanship and values with modern fashion and values that will be going global.
We will continue to be a sustainable brand as well.
