Forty-two days after Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu signed the 2024 budget into law, the state’s financial plan is yet to be available on the website of the state’s Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget.
The state’s budget, as the tradition since Babatunde Raji Fashola’s administration, is usually made available on the ministry’s website for citizens and stakeholders’ perusal.
However, Director, Public Affairs of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Sikiru Olusesi Azeez, when contacted on the non-availability of the budget on the ministry’s website, promised to liaise with the appropriate department for an update and get back, but he did not.
