President Bola Tinubu has approved the reappointment of as the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) for another five years.

In a statement signed by the Assistant General Manager (AGM), Information, Ekaette Bassey, Tinubu confirmed the reappointment in a letter by the Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri.

The letter stated that the five-year tenure takes effect from February 18, 2024.

The statement reads: “The reappointment is contained in a letter from the Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri dated March 11, 2024, and states that the five-year tenure takes effect from February 18, 2024.”
