Saudi King Salman provides six solar-powered boreholes for Kwara communities
Six solar-powered boreholes have been successfully completed and now supplying water to communities in Kwara State.
Provision of the boreholes is a landmark initiative of the King Salman Humanitarian Centre in collaboration with Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home.
Each borehole reaches depths of 80 metres and beyond and is equipped with 5,000 litres storage tanks at each of the six sites.
Beneficiaries of the project expressed gratitude, particularly stressing the importance of Solar-Powered solutions, amidst Nigeria’s electricity challenges.
The Project Manager from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, Mr. Omar Al Mousa, and Project Manager for Abibakre As-Siddiq Philanthropic Home, Mr. Farid Abdulrazzaq Salman, both expressed satisfaction with the quality of the six solar-powered boreholes.
