
Determined to financially empower residents across different sectors, a subsidiary of Cavista Holdings, Agbeyewa Farm, has launched the Agbeyewa Farms Community Development Foundation (AFCDF); aimed at investing in various community development initiatives to enhance the quality of life of citizens in Ekiti State.
The foundation’s launch took place yesterday during a retreat for selected traditional rulers in Ekiti. Present at the launch were the state Governor represented by the commissioner for chieftaincy and home affairs, Ojo Atibioke; Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye; commissioner for agriculture and food security, Ebenezer Boluwade; commissioner for infrastructure and public utility, Mobolaji Aluko, among others.
The foundation will focus on five key areas, education, economic empowerment, health, sports and environmental sustainability. By addressing these vital sectors, it aims to foster holistic development and sustainable progress within the region.
Speaking, Executive Director, Cavista Holdings, Dele Odufuye, emphasised the foundation’s alignment with Cavista’s overarching mission to create enduring value for all stakeholders and transform lives and communities. He highlighted the pivotal role of the farm in funding the foundation’s initiatives, underscoring their dedication to corporate social responsibility and community welfare.
He disclosed that the foundation has successfully executed several initiatives over the last two years, including medical outreaches, football competitions and donation of food items. With a focus on sustainability and social impact, he said they remain firm in their mission to create and empower a brighter future for the next generation.
