Nigerian singer Simi is set to feature singer Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, in her upcoming song. The singer also debunks dating rumours between the two artists.

She disclosed this on Angela Yee’s Way Up show, dismissing persistent rumours suggesting a romantic connection between them. Simi instead highlighted the deep musical rapport they share, describing it as “intense chemistry”.

After the joint EP titled Chemistry, which they released in 2016. Fans believed there was more between the two than just a musical connection.

Simi also hinted at an upcoming collaboration with Falz, teasing a new single set to drop later this month. She said, “I have one more single coming out at the end of this month. I can’t say the title now but I can tell you who I’m featuring on it. It’s Falz!”

Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, she emphasised that the comedic nature of the song promising listeners an entertaining experience.

Simi and Adekunle Gold got married on January 9, 2019, in Lagos. She, however, revealed she had a good history with Falz.

“This is interesting because Falz and I have a history. Before I got married, we did an EP and everything. People thought we were dating. We had a couple of songs together and people loved them. They were like, ‘You have a good chemistry.’ So we decided to do a joint EP and we made an EP called Chemistry. People really loved it.”

“So we want to do something again for the culture. It’s kind of a funny song. I’m really excited, and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
