Tami Duo Evicted From BBNaija Season 9
The Tami duo of Damilola and Toyosi are the first pair to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 “No Loose Guard” house. The two are best friends who decided to get into the dynamic duo BBNaija season to contest for the prize of 100 million Naira.
One notable change this season is that the Head of House (HOH) no longer have immunity from eviction. Neither do they have the power to save other pairs that are up for eviction. Instead, viewers put in their votes for the pair they want to see stay and leave the house.
Additionally, all housemates, except the nominated pairs, were asked to select one of the already nominated pairs, putting them up for possible eviction. Also, they had 20 seconds to do so in the diary room. The Tami duo received the most votes and were subsequently evicted by host Ebuka.
The four nominated pairs up for eviction
The housemates that were up for eviction are:
The Chekas: Chizoba and Onyeka, who are best friends
Streeze: Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh, who are friends
Radicals: Femi and Micky, who are gym buddies and self-proclaimed “virgins”
Tami: Damilola and Toyosi
Interestingly, earlier in the week, several housemates had complained about Damilola’s commanding and somewhat “rude” behaviour, especially in the kitchen, which she later apologised for. This perception may have contributed to the pair’s eviction.
In his closing remarks, Ebuka addressed the remaining housemates. He said that some of them were giving “0/10” efforts and relying solely on their partners to carry them through the competition. In addition, he emphasised the importance of each individual bringing their best to the house.
With the Tami duo now out of the picture, the remaining housemates continue their quest for the grand prize.
Big brother naija’s new twist
The latest season of the popular reality television show kicked off on July 28th with a unique twist. Housemates entered in pairs, whether they were couples, friends, family members or colleagues. Moreover, this “Dynamic Duo” format will bring more excitement and engagement to the competition.
