Otedola gifts N5m to father of quadruplets
Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola, through his foundation, Femi Otedola Foundation (FOF), has gifted N5 million to Sodiq Olayode, whose wife Abiodun recently gave birth to quadruplets.
An X user, identified as James, who is a friend of Sodiq, facilitated the contribution of over N16 million from Nigerians after seeking financial assistance for the couple on the social media platform.
The post quickly gained attention, with several users donating over N16 million to support the couple and their children.

However, the foundation set up by Otedola presented a cheque of N5 million to the family on Monday. The cheque was presented by Philip Akinola on behalf of the foundation.
Otedola, known for giving to needy individuals, coordinated groups, and social causes, decided to intervene after reading the story of the Olayode family on various media platforms.
Speaking to the media, Abiodun pleaded with Nigeria’s First Lady to come to the family’s aid.
“I hope that the First Lady (Remi Tinubu) will see this and come to my aid and support my family in any way she can. I hope my children will get scholarships.
“I kept on saying education is paramount to me. As I said, I am an outsourced staff at Sterling. I planned for one. But here we are having four. First Lady, I hope you are seeing this. Please come to my aid,” he concluded.
