Following a viral video, the Oyo State Police Command yesterday arrested two suspects in possession of a human skull.

The video showed a man with a fresh human skull, believed to belong to an unidentified woman, in the Amuloko area of Ibadan.

The suspect, Musa Bello, was caught Monday night after residents became suspicious of his behaviour and confronted him. Upon inspecting the sack he carried, they discovered the skull.

The shocking footage of the incident quickly went viral on social media, prompting a wave of public reactions.

Community members immediately apprehended Bello and questioned him about the skull’s origin.

During interrogation, Bello, who resides in the Labo, Oranyan area of Ibadan, allegedly confessed to his involvement in obtaining human skulls, with the incident being his second attempt.

He revealed that his first act was carried out in collaboration with an accomplice in the Idi Aro area of Ibadan.

Bello identified his partner, Tunde, who was allegedly responsible for selling body parts to buyers. He claimed he didn’t know the buyers’ identities.

Both suspects have been handed over to the police, which has launched an investigation into the matter.

The spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the arrest and said the case is under investigation.

He assured that more updates would be communicated as the investigation progressed.
