This was made known at a two-day workshop to empower entrepreneurs and career professionals anchored on the theme, ‘The Breakthrough Blueprint’ in Lagos.
Founder of MOre-Thenticity Ltd., Monica Nnoka, said that many Nigerian businesses encounter sustainability challenges because of a lack of inner influence.
Nnoka explained that the firm’s goal was to equip business owners and career professionals with strategies and tools needed to elevate their impact and to offer them the desired tangible results for their businesses.
“We want to empower as many entrepreneurs and career professionals with actual breakthrough success. We focus on inner growth and development, helping individuals cultivate their inner influence and confidence.
“Statistics show that most Nigerian businesses don’t last up to five years. A common underlying factor is a lack of inner influence, which is crucial for success and fulfillment,” she said.
She emphasised the importance of identity-led businesses saying that it is where purpose and impact drive success, rather than just profit.
Speaking on the relevance of breakthrough blueprint workshops to entrepreneurs and career professionals, Nnoka said, “The big question is, can we help those that have lost sight of their dreams or forgotten who they are and are just struggling to cope in the current economy? The Breakthrough Blueprint workshop aptly answered this because whether you like it or not, there are people that the present economic situation is working for, because they see the opportunities in the challenges. They have been able to position themselves to thrive and make the most out of their situation.”
On the importance of self-identity for entrepreneurs, the Founder of Bukie Signature Consulting, Bukie Adebola-Ezeh, encouraged entrepreneurs to channel their focus on self-identity rather than competition.
According to her, focusing on self-identity, entrepreneurs can shift from competition to collaboration, leading to more meaningful relationships and mutual growth.

She charged entrepreneurs to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth rather than as obstacles while also urging them to leverage social media to their advantage and cut down on rigid planning.
“Use your first year to figure out yourself, your business, and your market. By the second year, you’ll have a solid foundation to build upon and can bring in help to support your vision,” she added.
Chief Executive Officer of Positively Unreasonable LLC, Monica Walters, shared practical strategies to deal with business stagnation, offering a framework focusing on vision, assessment, strategy, execution and commitment, guiding participants on refining their focus and achieving future goals.
