I have helped to develop strategies for employee cost optimization which have resulted in cost savings of over 40%; analyzing payroll schedules, and deductions for numerous employees monthly, ensuring full compliance with laid out standards,” she said.

This has helped to optimize the effectiveness of the human resource department, by creating an improved work culture, that improves employee performance ratings,” she added.
Okatta also boasts a wealth of experience in Tax Returns and Analysis, having performed analysis on clients’ tax returns and learned quickly through a fast-paced working environment, where she handled evaluation of payroll taxes, submitted tax returns, and reviewed client financial statements for tax purposes – all while recording a minimal error incidence in managing employee personal information.
She holds multiple certifications including an Organizational Leadership in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialization Accreditation from Rice University, a Google Project Management Certificate earned from Coursera. She also got recognized as a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in April 2024. Okatta has continuously demonstrated her commitment to giving back by serving in various voluntary capacities, including serving as a Recruitment Coordinator for the American Red Cross, a Program Supervisor for the HRD Symposium 2023, Moderator for the 2022 HBCU Entrepreneurship Conference, and Program supervisor for the AbbVie Career Fair at Bowie State University in 2023.
