The Coordinator, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Ogun State, Abdulhameed Abdulhakeem, has restated the board’s determination to tackle issues of illegal admissions by institutions and ensure they are processed through the Central Admission Process System (CAPS).
Abdulhakeem stated this during a workshop with admission officers of tertiary institutions in Ogun State.The workshop themed: ‘Towards doing admissions right in Nigerian institutions’ was held at Redeemers College of Management and Technology (RECTEM), Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State.
The official stated that JAMB is weary of admission malpractices and would no longer condone such. He warned that institutions that fail to comply would, henceforth, face severe sanctions from the Federal Government.
The Rector, RECTEM, Dr. Stella Mofunanya, said ‘doing admissions right’ is the collective responsibility of all stakeholders, and encouraged participants to toe the path of diligence.
