How Firstangle’s Tayo Adebayo is making a difference in the Nigerian tech space

On March 8, 2019, Tayo Adebayo took a bold step, using personal savings and bootstrapping to launch Firstangle, a creative and digital agency that focuses on nurturing talent and helping brands make smart impressions. Starting with a small office in Lagos and a team of just four—a project manager, a graphic designer, a web developer, and himself—Tayo’s vision was clear: to build a company that could elevate Nigeria’s brand identity on the global stage.

But that was not how Tayo’s success story began. A self-taught graphics designer, Tayo honed his skills through online videos and articles. He began as a Front-end intern at Medslat in 2015 but shifted to design to meet a need at the company.

Tayo went on to start Firstangle after three at Medslat. In two years, Firstangle has gone on to become one of the promising digital and branding agencies in Nigeria.

Some of its clients include top brands like RedMedia, Zenith Bank, Mitsubishi, and Moneymie. Firstangle’s success lies not only in delivering creative solutions but also in its commitment to nurturing local talent and pushing for innovation that meets international standards.

Before Firstangle, Tayo founded Modelumn, an online community designed to connect models and influencers with opportunities in the gig economy.
