
Four people were killed and 20 injured in a multiple-vehicle accident on the Ilesa/Akure expressway in Osun State.
The crash occurred near Ikeji-Arakeji and involved two buses and a truck.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) attributed the accident to excessive speed, adding that victims included three female adults and one male adult.
FRSC Osun Sector Commander, Mr. Taofeek Sokunbi, confirmed the incident, stating, “The accident involved three vehicles, resulting in the death of four people — three female adults and one male adult. 20 others were injured.”
Many of the injured passengers were wearing National Youth Service Corps uniforms.
The FRSC has urged drivers to exercise caution on the road and avoid speeding to prevent similar accidents.
