The Kano State Fire Service reported yesterday that it successfully rescued three individuals and protected property worth N102.9 million during 21 fire incidents in August.
Service spokesperson Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi informed the News Agency of Nigeria that tragically, three people lost their lives, and property valued at N47.8 million was destroyed in fires during the same period.
He noted that the service responded to 11 emergency calls and received no false alarms from state residents throughout August. Abdullahi advised the public to ensure electrical appliances, gas, and generators are switched off before leaving their homes.
