The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, yesterday, lost 1,331 party members to the ruling New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in his home town of Kano.

The decampees, who were mainly from 11 wards of Ganduje’s Dawakin-Tofa local council, vowed to work against APC’s return to the state.  Prominent among the defectors are former Vice Chairman of Dawakin-Tofa council area, Malam Isyaku Dahiru Kwa; ex-House of Assembly aspirant, Audu Magaji Tumfafi; Bashir Musa Sani, APC Youth Leader for Takai Organisation, among others.

Receiving the decampees back at a ground reception in the council, State NNPP Chairman, Hashimu Dungurawa, applauded their ingenuity.
