Umahi tasks workers on implementation of FCSSIP25

Minister of Works, David Umahi, has emphasised the need for the full deployment, and implementation of the goals of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021- 2025 (FCSSIP 25) towards the actualisation of Renewed Hope Agenda.

Umahi who spoke at a a one-day Management Retreat with the theme: “Specific Roles of Heads of Department in the Implementation” in Abuja, expressed the Ministry’s commitment to carry out the plan in delivering the government policies, programmes, and projects.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Yakubu A. Kofarmata, he urged the workers to be conscious of the reform initiatives, such as its readiness to go digital; staff performance assessment; and consistent observation of the Reward and Recognition System among others.

Earlier, the Director, Reform Coordination and Service Improvement, Mrs. Charlotte Ibekwe, stated that the Ministry’s decision to bring together Heads of Departments and Units was to get them acquainted with new development as well as collective responsibilities toward the full realisation of the objectives of FCSSIP25.

She revealed activities lined up, meant to deepen their understanding to follow the Ministerial Innovation Challenge; Development Partners’ Conference on Innovation; Customer Satisfaction Survey on Projects; and the Annual Reward and Recognition ceremony.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jackin acknowledged the numerous achievements of the Works Ministry in the implementation of programme like Performance Management System (PMS), Innovation, Rewards and Recognition System, and others.
