Nollywood actor, Jerry Amilo, has bid farewell to his 14-year-old daughter, Chidera, who passed away on October 4.

Amilo, in a touching Instagram post, expressed his heartbreak over her sudden death, describing how it left him “speechless” and feeling like she took “a part of me” with her.

“You took a part of me with you. I’m so speechless,” he wrote, pouring out his sorrow.

In another post shared on Friday, the actor posted a video from the funeral, showing him dressed in black and standing in front of his daughter’s coffin, while a group of women offered prayers and sang solemnly.

Amilo, visibly heartbroken, said his last goodbye in the post’s caption.

“Goodnight my angel. May your soul rest in perfect peace amen,” he penned.

Though the cause of Chidera’s death wasn’t revealed, fans and fellow celebrities have flooded his comment section with messages of sympathy and support.

In a related tragedy, Saheed Balogun, another Nollywood actor, recently lost his daughter, Zeenat.
At the time of this report, the cause of Zeenat’s death also remains unknown.
