Experts to discuss role of credit rating agencies in navigating economic realities

Ahead of this year’s international rating webinar organised by DataPro, experts and panellists have been selected to discuss the role of credit rating agencies in navigating economic realities.

A statement by Client Services Manager, DataPro, Kehinde Rasheed, said the webinar slated for Thursday, Oct 10, 2024, would be aired live on LinkedIn and YouTube channels with the theme ‘Navigating Economic Uncertainties: The Role of Credit Rating Agencies’.

He said the keynote speaker, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Q-Lana, Christian Ruehmer, an accomplished speaker on the evolving trends and patterns related to credit risk management globally, is expected to bring his A-Game to enlighten and educate participants at the webinar.

Other panellists are the Group Managing Director of Metropol Ratings in Kenya, Sam Omukoko; the Group Managing Director of the DLM Group, Dr. Sonnie Ayere; and the Managing Director of Chapel Hill Dehman, Kemi Awodein.

Speaking on the webinar, Founder and Managing Director of DataPro Limited, Abimbola Adeseyoju, said the event would further allow participants and listeners to understand the workings and value proposition of credit rating institutions, especially during difficult economic situations such as the one Nigeria is presently experiencing.

Elated Adeseyoju said the yearly event was beginning to yield results internationally in terms of collaboration and cooperation among credit rating agencies within the African continent.
