Movie Producer and Director, Kunle Afolayan, is set to premiere his movie titled “Recall” at the Africa Film International Festival (AFRIFF) on Nov. 7.

Afolayan made the announcement in an Instagram post on Monday.

“Set against the vibrant backdrop of Lagos, “Recall” follows the emotional journey of Goke and Anita as their seemingly perfect love story takes an unexpected and mysterious turn,” Afolayan said.

He noted that the trailer and full cast would be revealed soon.

This psychological thriller is set against the vibrant backdrop of Lagos, taking viewers on an emotional journey as Goke and Anita’s seemingly perfect love story spirals into an unexpected and mysterious narrative.

While the full cast details have not been revealed, director Afolayan confirmed that Sharon Ooja leads the cast. Expressing her excitement about the film’s premiere alongside its poster, Sharon stated, “This movie is truly dear to my heart as I gave it something … I remember reading the script and I was so shocked!!! And I had to ask people if things like this truly happen, and I was so shocked to hear that it happens every single day.”

This announcement marks Kunle Afolayan’s second film project reveal this year, following the news that Netflix has officially renewed the hit series “Aníkúlápó” for a second season. Afolayan also shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the making of “Aníkúlápó,” introducing new cast members for the upcoming season.
