A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Kwara Build Technical Care (#KBTC24), has concluded all plans to train about 2,000 youths in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and entrepreneurship.

The event will focus on how Nigeria can explore collaborative innovation to address local and global challenges.

The organisers informed that “discussants/lecturers will leverage Nigeria’s vibrant ecosystem to unite thought leaders, industry experts, and change-makers to discuss leveraging technology, fostering inclusive growth, and creating sustainable impact, driving Nigeria and the world towards a brighter, innovative future.”

According to the Chief Coordinating Officer (COO), Kamaldeen Kehinde, the two-day training scheduled for November 21-23 is aimed at improving the participants’ skills as well as finding solutions to the nation’s lingering crises in the digital and technical sectors.

Kamaldeen, who lamented that Nigeria is blessed with frustrated but innovative and vibrant youths, stated that they would be redeemed in the training conducted by foreign and local experts.

Addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Ilorin, Kamaldeen said the technical conference 2024, tagged: Leading the Way in Innovation and Digital Transformation, will be attended by youths he described as Africa’s brightest minds in technology and innovation.

Stating that the annual event would be the seventh in a row, he explained that it has been a driving force in fostering technological growth, collaboration, innovation, and attracting founders, investors, corporate leaders, and government representatives from across the continent.

Themed: “Future Forward: Addressing Local and Global Challenges through Collaborative Innovation,” Kamaldeen said the event would address the growing need for tech-driven solutions to complex challenges.

“#KBTC24 will serve as a platform for innovators, start-ups, and thought leaders to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and inspire future tech innovations within Kwara and beyond,” he stated, adding that the seminar would further teach the participants how to use AI to enhance businesses and skills.

Saying the two-day workshop/seminar will be preceded by a conference, the COO disclosed that the renowned African technical ecosystem leader and investor, Musty Mustapha, among others, would deliver the keynote address.

He, however, hinted that an undisclosed United Kingdom (UK-based) philanthropist facilitated the payments for 500 of the over 2,000 participants.

He announced that the event will conclude with the prestigious Awards Night, recognising outstanding contributions to the innovation ecosystem.

“The night will celebrate individuals and organisations that have made significant strides in technology and entrepreneurship,” he said.
