The song is the first taste of Wizkid’s much-anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Morayo’, which is set to drop on November 22 under Starboy, Sony Music International, and RCA Records.
Wizkid and Brent were recently spotted together in London, fuelling excitement before Wizkid gave fans a sneak peek of the song on Instagram.

In the track’s chorus, Faiyaz sings, “Nothing can tear us apart / You’ve got a piece of my heart / Nothing can tear us apart (Nothing in this world) / You’ve got a piece of my heart (That belongs to you girl).”
The smooth blend of Afrobeats and R&B in this song is already making waves.

Interestingly, Wizkid has been selective with collaborations this year, only appearing on a couple of tracks. His joint effort with Asake on MMS from Asake’s album ‘Lungu Boy’ and ‘Work Me Out’ with Shenseea on her sophomore album ‘Never Gets Late Here’ have kept fans wanting more. Brent Faiyaz, on the other hand, teamed up with 21 Savage for ‘Should’ve Wore a Bonnet’ on American Dream, but that’s been his only major collaboration of the year.

Both artistes share a history of working with familiar faces in the industry. From Don Toliver, who featured both artistes on his 2023 album Love Sick—Wizkid on Slow Motion and Brent on Bus Stop—to Tems, with whom they both made magic.
Tems and Wizkid’s Essence became a global hit, peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, while she worked with Brent on Found from her EP If Orange Was a Place, reaching No. 17 on the Hot R&B Songs chart.

The upcoming album ‘Morayo’, a Yoruba word meaning “I see joy,” marks Wizkid’s return after his 2022 project ‘More Love, Less Ego’, which charted at No. 59 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 2 on the World Albums chart.
