With a growing presence both in Nigeria and internationally, they continue to push the boundaries of Afrocentric fashion, offering a unique blend of tradition and modernity that resonates with men who embrace their heritage. In their newest collection, the duo has been able to redefine the boundaries of style and sophistication, through their Ikoyi collection—Shorts with a difference.
The Afrocentric’s 2022 collection is a shirt collection primarily for men who want to make a difference. The short is with different shades and types of Handwoven Aso oke fabric.
The first in the collection is the Bogey short. It is a colour neutral short that goes well with several other attires and creates some kind of stylish appearance.
The name of the outfit was inspired by the mustard yellow colour which brings in warmth, reminiscent of fall tones or desert landscapes, aligning with nature-inspired fashion trends. The shorts are knee-length pants, with the inclusion of a drapey side pocket that adds practicality to the look.

The outfit was inspired by the undiluted Aso oke history of their bold, geometric patterns with showcase cultural significance an interesting fact about the aso oke fabric is that it is also known as ‘Aso ofi’ and the symbolism of this material is ‘Top cloth’.
