Vinicius won’t win Ballon d’Or, says Fabrizio Romano
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Madrid forward Vinicius will not win the Ballon d’Or.
According to a post on his official X account, Romano said that is the reason Vinicius will not be travelling to Paris to attend the awards ceremony tonight.
“No one from Real Madrid will attend the ceremony. No Florentino Pérez, no Vini Jr, no Carlo Ancelotti, no Jude Bellingham,” Romano stated.
Vinicius had been widely expected to emerge as the winner of the 2024 Ballon d’Or following the Brazilian’s brilliant performances for Madrid in the calendar year.
He was highly instrumental to Los Blancos winning the La Liga title and UEFA Champions League during the 2023/24 season while they also won the UEFA Super Cup after defeating Atalanta 2-0.
Reports have emerged that Manchester City and Spain midfielder, Rodri could be named as the winner of the Ballon d’Or ahead of Vinicius and Bellingham.
