
A building collapse in the Jegede Oluloyo area of Ibadan, Oyo State, early Thursday claimed the lives of 10 people and left seven others injured.
The Oyo State Fire Services Agency reported that the incident occurred around 2 a.m. in Ona Ara Local Government Area.
According to the agency, 10 bodies were retrieved from the rubble, while seven survivors were rescued, and efforts to locate others possibly trapped are ongoing.

Oyo Fire Services General Manager, Yemi Akinyinka, confirmed that a distress call was received at 2 a.m.
“By the time we arrived, 10 people had died, and three were initially recovered. Our team continues to work on the site,” he added.
