According to Elle magazine, after twelve hours of Donald Trump being announced the winner of the 2024 presidential election in the U.S.A., Harris took to the stage to voice a message of hope.
In a deep purple suit and her signature pearls, Harris spoke with clarity and compassion, acknowledging the widespread heartbreak and fear given the election results. “My heart is full today,” she began. “Full of gratitude for the trust you have placed in me, full of love for our country, and full of resolve.
The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for, but hear me when I say: The light of America’s promise will always burn bright, as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting.”

She took the time to thank her family and President Joe Biden, who she has served for nearly four years.

Recall that Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential election back in July, opening the door for Harris to become the Democratic nominee.
Despite the fact that she lost the presidential election to Trump, Harris noted that she is very proud of the race she ran and the way she ran it.

In a bid to encourage her supporters, she continued to say: “We all have so much more in common than what separates us. Now, I know folks are feeling and experiencing a range of emotions right now. I get it, but we must accept the results of this election.”
Harris has publicly congratulated her running mate and the new president, Donald Trump, and also leaves the fight for equality, inclusivity, and rights for all until the next election. Although, she has not made it known if she will contest again.
