As the ‘African Giant,’ he’s now the first African artiste to receive Grammy nominations for six straight years as the Recording Academy released the full list of nominations on Friday, November 8, 2024.
Since 2018, Burna Boy has been racking up Grammy nods without missing one.

His Grammy journey includes 11 nominations in total, though he’s only clinched one win so far.
This year, his hit track, ‘Higher,’ is in the running for the Best African Music Performance category, adding another feather to his cap.

On another high note, Nigeria’s songbird Tems has also soared to new heights at the 67th Grammys, snagging nominations in three categories—Best Global Music Album for ‘Born In The Wild,’ Best African Music Performance for ‘Love Me Jeje,’ and Best R&B Song for ‘Burning.’ With these additions, Tems now boasts eight Grammy nominations, making her the Nigerian artiste with the highest number of Grammy nods this season.
