Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, and his Plateau State counterpart, Caleb Mutfwang, have canvassed indigenous content in television programming.
Founder of Telecom Satellites Limited (TSTV), Bright Echefu, unveiled another Pay TV called LUFT TV, years after abandoning thousands of customers on a similar project.
The governors also played up the economic opportunities and potential of the Pay TV in the industry.
Speaking at the launch in Abuja, Sule, who commended Echefu, advised that it was time to use the channels to promote Nigeria’s culture, history, sports, and youth development.
Mutfwang expressed hope that Luft PayTV has come to promote local initiatives, boost the entertainment industry and break monopoly for shared values and investment opportunities in the country.
Echefu, on his part, said his organisation had begun a revolutionary television service.
He stated that TSTV subscribers would soon be onboarded onto LUFT TV.
