Furthermore, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will enhance recruitment efficiency. AI-powered tools will help recruiters quickly screen candidates, identify top talent, and even conduct initial assessments, freeing up time for more strategic hiring decisions. Chatbots and automated responses will become more common in early interactions, providing faster responses to applicants and a smoother hiring journey.
We can also expect a rise in digital assessments, such as skill-based tests and virtual interviews, allowing companies to assess candidates’ competencies in real time, regardless of location. These innovations will make recruitment more inclusive and accessible, opening doors for skilled candidates across the continent.

First, targeted training programs will be crucial. We aim to equip young people with the skills that are in demand in the green economy, such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and digital skills. This hands-on approach ensures that our participants are not only job-ready but also possess the expertise to thrive in sustainable careers.
Second, strategic partnerships will play a vital role in our success. We will work closely with organizations, NGOs, and governmental bodies that share our vision. These partnerships can help us expand our reach, access additional resources, and leverage networks that can provide job placement opportunities for our trainees.

What challenges have you encountered in promoting tech education and digital skills development across Africa, and how are these being addressed?
One major challenge is ensuring candidates can access training programs without worrying about the high cost of internet.
To tackle this, we broke down our content into data-efficient segments, making it affordable and easy to access, even with limited data. Our platform is designed with a user-friendly interface that works well on low-spec devices, allowing more people to participate without needing expensive gadgets.
Another challenge is keeping candidates engaged long enough to complete their programs. Many start but struggle to stay motivated. To address this, we designed our courses to be hands-on, with activity-based and project-driven modules. This approach not only makes learning more engaging but also helps candidates apply skills practically, boosting their confidence and readiness for real-world tech roles.

Then we collect ongoing feedback from employers who work with us for recruitment, ensuring we stay informed about the outcomes for candidates placed through our platform. To make this process even easier, we’ve also integrated a feedback mechanism directly into our website. This allows both employers posting job ads and candidates applying for roles to share their experiences in real-time, helping us continually refine and improve our support services.
What social responsibility initiatives did you undertake to ensure that underserved communities have access to employment opportunities and tech education?
We partnered with a local NGO in Adamawa to improve access to job opportunities and tech education for underserved communities. Together, we designed a program to deliver timely job alerts and training opportunities directly to residents through SMS and WhatsApp.
This approach ensures that people with limited internet access can still receive critical employment information and participate in tech training programs. Our goal is to bridge the digital divide by connecting more individuals to career resources, empowering them to build better futures through accessible education and employment pathways.”

One of the biggest lessons I have learned from my journey with MyJobMag is the power of perseverance.
