Nasarawa distributes 41 assorted vehicles, 25 motorcycles to security operatives

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has purchased and distributed operational vehicles, motorcycles, and tractors to government functionaries, security agents, and farmers to enhance productivity and agricultural activities in the state.
Governor Sule made this known on Wednesday while distributing the vehicles at the government house along Shendam Road, Lafia.
Governor Sule stated that the use of vehicles by government functionaries and security agents in the discharge of their duties has helped to curtail bureaucratic bottlenecks.
“The policy of providing operational vehicles aims to arm and enhance their functions and operations smoothly, as it will improve dignity and performance towards the realisation of government policy objectives.
“Procurement of operational vehicles for our security agents has, in the past, improved their success in fighting crime, which has contributed to the relative peace we are enjoying today in the state,” Sule said.
Sule further directed that out of the 30 tractors, two each will be given to 13 local governments, while two will be given to traditional rulers and two to private farmers in the state.
The governor also expressed hope that distributing vehicles and motorcycles to security operatives in the state will enhance the security and safety of residents and people conducting legitimate business.
In a remark, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Mohammed Ubandoma, commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for procuring vehicles for government functionaries to enhance productivity and security.
The SSG explained the breakdown of the vehicles and motorcycles distributed, which included one towing van, one Hiace ambulance bus, 10 Jac Hilux vans, four Toyota Hilux vans, and four Peugeot vans.
