Abuja on standstill for COAS burial today
Abuja Central Area is witnessing a palpable gridlock as the Late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja is set to be laid to rest.
A mammoth crowd at the Christian Ecumenical Centre where a Church service in his memory is held, has led to a gridlock around the Central Bank of Nigeria in the Central Business District (CBD).
Inside the Christian centre is filled to the brim as many military personnel and civilians assembled to pay their last respects to him.
The service of songs in honour of Late Lagbaja on Thursday was filled with an outpouring of heartfelt eulogies at the parade ground of the Army Headquarters Garrison, Mogadishu Barracks, Asokoro, Abuja.
His colleagues praised the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, as an extraordinary military leader.
