A technology enthusiast and entrepreneur, Dapo Babarinde has announced the launch of a digital skills training programme for people looking to start a tech career.
This initiative will help young participants to find good jobs or take part in the freelance economy which is estimated to amount to $1.3 trillion annually by 2025, according to MGI’s projections.

Babarinde disclosed that the training programme would help enhance the career positions of young individuals who are entering the tech field by equipping them with in-demand tech skills. He emphasised that the training programme will help the participants access more opportunities and secure jobs in tech.
The programme will also involve providing mentorship and support to participants to help them launch their careers and succeed.
Babarinde announced the launch of the digital skills programme as part of the initiatives lined up for the first edition of the Tech Synergy summit, which will be held on December 21, 2021. The event will be attended by professionals in the tech industry and more details would be provided in due course.

Registration applications are currently being accepted for cohort 1.0 of the digital skills training, and Babarinde is encouraging all youths to apply as it is free and would only cost them time and curiosity to learn. The digital academy programme will include multiple phases to ensure that the participants are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to enter a global workforce. This training programme will be held for a period of three months during which participants will attend a bootcamp and take practical courses in their preferred discipline, attend masterclasses on soft skills and get personalised career coaching sessions. They will also receive mentorship from professionals with significant experience in the Tech Industry.
Dapo Babarinde, the Advocatify founder believes that by gaining practical knowledge and experience, soft skills, and getting mentored by experts in the industry, participants in the digital skills programme will be better equipped to fit into a global workforce and pursue successful careers.
