APC leader faults Adeleke over relocation of airport project to Ede

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress [APC] in Osun State, Mr. Kabiru Adisa, has condemned the decision of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State to relocate the ongoing M.K.O Abiola Airport project to his hometown, Ede.

Adisa in a statement said it was uncharitable of Adeleke to relocate the project to Ede.

The reaction followed an announcement by the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, outlining plans for Adeleke’s second anniversary, which included the governor, along with the Ministers of Works and Aviation, David Umahi and Festus Keyamo, to lay the foundation for the new airport in Ede.

The APC chieftain said Adeleke is the Governor of the whole state, not that of the Ede constituency.

He charged the governor to shed the toga of clannishness and nepotism.

“This is nepotism taken too far. This is clannishness beyond comprehension. The people of Osun State will not accept this. The governor must see himself as the governor of the whole state, not that of Ede,” Adisa said.

Adisa, however, assured the people of the state that the APC is coming in 2026 to right the wrongs of the Adeleke-led People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government.
